How does Raven connect to my email and tools?

Raven uses secure OAuth connections to link with your email (Gmail, Outlook), calendar, CRM, and messaging tools. You authorize access through each provider's standard login flow — we never ask for your password. Connections take about 60 seconds each and you can revoke access at any time from your settings.

Can Raven send messages on my behalf without asking?

You control the level of autonomy. When you first set up Raven, it starts in 'review mode' where it drafts messages and waits for your approval before sending. As you build confidence, you can enable autonomous sending for specific types of messages — like appointment confirmations or follow-up reminders — while keeping manual approval for anything sensitive like contracts or pricing discussions.

Is my data safe? Where is it stored?

All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). We process your messages to perform actions but do not use your data to train AI models. On the Business plan, you can choose data residency in the US, EU, or Australia. We undergo annual SOC 2 Type II audits and publish our security practices at ravenassistant.com/security.

Most teams are up and running in under 30 minutes. Connect your email and calendar (2 minutes), tell Raven about your business in plain English (5 minutes), and let it observe your patterns for a day before it starts suggesting actions. There's no complex configuration or coding required.

Raven is designed to surface uncertainty rather than guess. If it's not confident about an action, it asks you first. That said, mistakes can happen. Every action has an undo window, sent messages can be recalled within 30 seconds, and the full audit trail shows exactly what Raven did and why — so you can quickly correct course and teach it for next time.

Absolutely. Our Starter plan is free and built for exactly that — a single person who wants to stop drowning in email and scheduling. Many of our users are solo consultants, freelancers, and tradespeople who use Raven as their virtual assistant. You don't need a team to benefit.
